As for adapter, headphones work on their own (with no adapter) and I tried few of them I'm just wondering if it's either something to do with drivers or the unit itself might be faulty. Then I plugged the interface into my laptop and the problem was the same. Was trying to fix it as well, but also no success, and I don't know if it's even the cause of distortion. Few of them suggested simple Windows troubleshooting and once I did that, the issue was stated as "Generic Audio Driver".
